Elizabeth and Albert: Engagement

Engagement
Ok, so we've all heard of those love stories that started from childhood right? You know, the stories where everyone says, "That could never happen but if it could, well that's how I'd want my life to be!" Well if not, here's a recap: First you meet your future husband or wife at like age five or so. Of course, you can be whoever you want without being judged even if it means wearing your favorite sports uniform everywhere you go while carrying around your matching toy boat. Your 5 year old girlfriend just happens to be the cutest girl on the block and she's already in style with the latest fashions. Next, you begin growing up and go out into the real world for a handful of years only to find disappointment after disappointment in relationships until one day, magically!, you come face to face with your childhood sweetheart again. Somehow, even with tons of outside influence and life shaping experiences, all the pieces just happen to fall into place and you find yourself now falling in love all over again realizing...THIS IS THE ONE!! (ok movie credits can start rolling here) :) Well Elizabeth and Albert are just that couple. Every time I look at this picture that I resorted from their original, next to a portrait we captured a few weeks ago, I just can't help but see these two as a couple of kids in love. It's amazing how knowing two people's story can influence how we see them... We're going to enjoy an exciting wedding day with these two at the Miami Botanical Gardens and looking forward to hearing how their story unfolds as the years go by....

Rigo H.: Nice story telling, Mike. That's one for the books. Now how much funnier would it be if you were to say that at that age, you were the photographer taking that picture. LOL ...

Congratulations, guys. Best wishes!

You guys truly are a great looking couple ... even since the age of 5. Very unique story. Albert's face in the photo on the left is priceless! 5.23.08 at 3:38 PM

Kim and Scott Engagement Session: New York City Part 1

Engagement
New York, the "city that never sleeps", was our destination spot this past week as Kim Arbuckle and Scott Goodwin flew us in for an amazing Manhattan engagement session. Kim and Scott fell perfectly into character as we toured the streets of NYC while capturing the romantically distinct connection between these two that breathes life into their images. Throughout the day I had a chance to ask Scott about his engagement proposal and he recalls, "I was looking for the perfect moment to ask her and after about five days, the ring was just burning a hole in my pocket ... I just couldn't wait any longer!" He then told me later as we walked ahead of the crew, "Mike, I just knew she was the one...Kimie is the one for me." We are ever grateful to work with such amazing couples week after week...I think we're becoming spoiled though! This trip was a milestone on several levels to which I will post very soon, but I wanted to thank Kim and Scott for being part of this incredible experience and spending an unforgettable day with us.

Kim and Scott are getting married at the Biltmore Hotel Miami on October 18, 2008 - looking forward to it you guys.

A big thanks to Gisela and the Tracey and Martin team for your amazing talent and creativity!
