Mirella and Alfredo Engagement

Engagement
In a majority of relationship scenarios, a simple question will lead us to great discovery. Do opposites really attract? Are laid-back introverts finding themselves drawn to the outward characteristics of die-hard extroverts or is this just another modern myth? And what about the physical components of blue eyes seeking brown or the blonde seeking brunette? Hmmmm, let’s see…

Matching college major...check. Identical career path…check. Same job placement…check. Laid-back personalities…check. Level temperaments…check. Compatible faith…check. Related circle of friends…check. Parallel passions and pursuits…check. How about matching birthdays…check.  Head over heals in love...?  Check!

Mirella and Alfredo seem to defy the elements of “opposites attract” and yet their love for one another is unshakable in the midst of the greatest storm as they pursue their personal and professional dreams together.

The way I see it, we are all looking for a balance point. Finding that perfect someone who allows us to be who we are while playing a complimentary role in our lives as we journey through the twist and turns that come our way.

Mirella and Alfredo, thank you for keeping life fresh and allowing us to enjoy this time in your life. We are looking forward to your wedding day.

Rigo Hernandez: Look mom, my first comment on the Mike's new blog. SWEEET! Hey buddy .. just dropping by to check out what's new on the site. Seems like another successful shoot.

So I was going to say the karate kick was my favorite picture, but now I'm torn between that and the one of the guy catching some "zzzzz's" on the bench. MIKE .. did you pay him? I see $1 in his hand. 4.3.09 at 3:17 PM

Sara and Peter Engagement

Engagement
So how many reasons do you really need to fall in love? As I once heard it said, there are some people who seem to be creating their story as they move along while another set of people seem to be living out what was designed for them. Well, with a deep appreciation for the finer details of living, both Sara and Peter radiate when they are in each other’s presence as they drink in all that life has prepared for them. You cannot find this type of love on a city street corner or local market place...it is a love rooted in friendship, respect, and passion. It's a love that says to the world, regardless what you can offer me, I have found my place with my lover and nothing else will do, nothing else will satisfy. To belong to someone who belongs to you is enough and yet Sara plus Peter equals much more.

Her chic and elegant style are overshadowed only by her warmth and unconditional acceptance of others while Peter's grounded and sincere character simply accompany his generous and friendly spirit. Between the both of them, their vibrant personalities light up the room and quite frankly made us feel like we were family.

Sara and Peter, thank you sharing this day with us. We can't wait for your wedding experience and look forward to being their every step of the way.

Suna and Scott: Wedding New York City

Wedding
Ceremony and reception: University Club New York
Creative Director: Brian Bennett
Hair Stylist: Tommy
Make Up: Suna Said Maslin
Floral Design: University Club New York
Dress Design: Kleinfeld Manhattan
Shoes: Grazia

If it were as simple as reading the labels or sifting through an instruction manual on how to end up in the arms of your soulmate, I think we would all drop what we are doing, run to the nearest bookstore, and purchase our very own copy before the time you finish viewing this post. Essentially, to love...and to be loved is at the core of each individual, however; love takes courage, determination, vulnerability and sacrifice, only to mention a few. These are the foundational building blocks that carry us through a lifetime of shaping until we are that single puzzle piece that fits snug and tight with our counterpart. It is one of our distinct pleasures to witness time and time again, the union of two individuals as they, along with their respective families begin this journey of "oneness".

The streets of Manhattan were filled with the usual winter wear, passing taxis and an occasionally gathering for one of the morning television shows as we arrived to 54th and 5th. Our trip to the city was met with magnificent blue skies, somewhere in the mid to lower 30's, and even better company as we were scheduled to spend the weekend capturing the unquestionable connection of Scott Maslin and Suna Said in what is now one of the greatest times of their lives. Scott and Suna compliment each other all to well as was self evident while strolling through Central Park for a breath taking engagement session, attending the heart felt rehearsal dinner at Hill Country Bar-B-Q, and documenting their extraordinary wedding celebration with friends and family at the University Club, NY.

Aside from the obvious, both Scott and Suna are internally hard wired to make it to the finish line with flying colors and we are honored to have been part of this time in their lives that only marks the beginning. Scott and Suna: We hope that these images preserve your dreams and know they will act as a reminder of your unfailing love for each other. We are ever grateful to have joined your friends and family for this wonderful experience and look forward to all that is in store.
